Ethan hasn't been assigned to guard a client since crossing paths with the Las Vegas mafia, so he's eager to take on the talk of the city: the Slot Bandit. Rob Rexum is a man on the win streak of a lifetime. He needs a bodyguard to keep away the hordes of people who are desperate for a touch of his luck or a charitable handout. MY REVIEW:
5.0 out of 5 stars I Think It's Time to Stop Being Nice - Shut 'Em Down Ethan!, May 3, 2016
| Obsession meets Addiction. Lady Luck, even in the city of sin, is no friend when overconfidence rears its ugly head. The stakes are higher with this client even than the last and Ethan's curiosity almost destroys his happiness with Maximilian Poole by letting his compassionate nature exacerbate the wrong person's ego. I enjoyed reading all the challenges our favorite little hottie from Indiana faces in ever book, and this one really comes close to getting him into trouble he cant get out of. Fortunately, and I say that with a hint of irony, his fidelity to Max saves him from winding up a prisoner to the wrong person. Lady Luck truly does not reward the deluded for long. |
